Qurbani 2022 | share the joy of eid al-adha with orphaned children in need.

Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation is authorized to facilitate the preparation of Udhiyyas (Qurbani) to distribute amongst the families of orphaned children in Iraq on the day of Eid Al-Adha.

THERE’S A NEED. WE RESPOND.

Now, more than ever, many families are struggling to bring home food to their families. Your Qurbani could be the first – and last – meal containing meat this year.

More than 800,000 children were orphaned because of the wars being waged on Iraqi soil. But that is not the only form of violence that 80% of these 800,000 children experience. Their childhood is tainted by fighting starvation and impoverishment, coping with the traumatizing experience of war, and the loss of their parents at a young age.

By allocating your Qurbani where it is most needed, Al-Ayn ensures that these orphaned children and their families receive a substantial meal to enjoy on Eid Al-Adha while commemorating the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

To ensure that your Qurbani is distributed to the orphaned and impoverished by Eid Al-Adha, make your donation by July 5th, 2022.

Choose a quality qurbani

“We have decreed the animal offerings for you among the rites of God. In them there are benefits for you. So, mention God’s name on them while they are lined up, then, once they collapse on their sides, you shall eat therefrom and feed the poor and the needy. Thus, did We subject them to you, so hopefully you may give thanks” (22:36).

We select your Qurbani meat in accordance with jurisprudential requirements at Al-Ayn, guaranteeing that there is no room for compromise when it comes to its quality. Our Prophet (SAWW) only distributed the healthiest animals, so we endeavor to sacrifice the best animals we can source. Our orphans deserve nothing but the best.

QURBANI FAQs

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is an important Islamic practice that involves the sacrifice of a livestock animal on Eid Al-Adha. This is an act of faith dedicated to Allah (SWT) and serves as a reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his own son when God commanded him to do so.

As decreed by God, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) traveled to the peak of Mount Arafat to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail (AS). At the final moment, Allah (SWT) miraculously moved his son to safety and replaced him with a sheep.

Is it compulsory to give Qurbani?

Qurbani is compulsory for everyone participating in Hajj during the month of Dhul Hijjah (the last month of the Islamic calendar); but it’s also highly recommended for all Muslims.

Which animals can be sacrificed on Eid Al-Adha?

The animals that can be slaughtered for Qurbani are sheep, cattle, goats, and camels. It is recommended that the animal is healthy, with no signs of malnourishment.

When should I donate towards Qurbani?

The sacrifice must be performed on Eid Al-Adha. This means you should donate your Qurbani as soon as possible. This provides us with enough time to locate the best source for your Qurbani, prepare it, and perform your sacrifice
